Undergraduate / Everything started from computer for my eldest brother - My Devotion to technology [2]

Hi, I came recently to the U.S to live (6 months ago) and is really hard to be in your last year of high school and struggle with college, the languague, the weather and other things.

Well, I need help with my essay, pleaseeee. I'm horrible at writing but I really wanna get into this college, and my essay needs to be done.

I know is not well organized and doesn't have a conclus ion, but please give me advice , what I did good, what I did wrong. It is a good essay? please be honest and specific of what I need to fix. Thank you!!!

How can I connect the paragraph 3 with the rest of the essay?
Everything started that day, when my dad came home with a computer that he had purchased for my eldest brother. Once my brother opened it was love of first sight, I knew it because I immediately felt a huge curiosity for what I was looking at . That computer left me fascinated about all those things it could do at the same time, it was like having your own world where you could do whatever you wanted , where you have the control over all. From that specific moment, computer technology have always caught my interest. I wanted, and I still want to know everything about it; how it works, how it's built; every specific step in the process of make one.

Writing Feedback / A typical day of the underground station, rush hours in London train station - IELTS task 1 [2]

The line graph provides a breakdown information in term of the number of people who rely on London Underground station on a typical day.

If analyzed, the data show that there is always a significant rise of people in the early morning as well as in the mid evening.

Initially, the number of people stands at 100 at six o'clock. After 2 hours, this figure peaks to 400 people, while this value is huger than the number of people at 10 o'clock for almost 200, with a slight increase from 10 o clock to 14 o clock. The value plummets after 14 o clock to roughly 100 people at 16:00. Subsequently, the story almost repeats itself as the beginning, since at 18:00, there is approximately 400 people and then, the number dropped to close to 100 people at 20:00. The story ends with some insubstantial fluctuations up and down during 20:00 to 22:00.

The data suggest that the rush hours of London station are at 8 o clock in the morning and at 6pm.

Writing Feedback / A horizon communication these days speaks more than one language. Learning foreign language issue [2]

A horizon communication these days speaks more than one language. As the country's future asset, children are able to master foreign languages. Therefore, the early grade school year is the perfect quality of time for them to learn this lesson. While the evidence of this argument is nearly to be true to some extent (why? you should have finalized your view here) , I am personally convinced that children who learn second language in the earliest age are expected to be well-prepared for advanced language learning tasks.

It would sound better this way, when it comes to this sentence ''It shows that young learners are difficult to learn English structures '''
according to xxxx ,youngsters have a tendency to find it arduous to comprehend new grammars such as pf e.t.c

Writing Feedback / Budget - thought-provoking issue among scholars to bring about and to desire for. [3]

You have some issues that i want to point out!
When it comes to the word "universities should spend equal budget on both sports and social activities as well as classes and libraries ", it usually arouses different responses among people based on their various experiences and dissimilar backgrounds. This is too lengthy and tedious. Let us give a try, Equaling budget on both sports and social activities as well as classes and libraries has always been a contentious topic. Some people might be chipper about it, the rest of them would most likely to absolutely disgust it.

No matter which category we belong to, the concern on this issue had always been a thought-provoking issue among scholars to bring about and to desire for. this sentence should be exterminated then !

The first and the foremost reason! this sentence betokens that you are attempting to reach the minimum word count during the writing time.
1.After all, the recommended word count is from 280- 350
2.Examples are necessary in IELTs or TOEFL even if they do not require them from you!

Writing Feedback / It is extremely arduous for globalization to completely eliminate our precious culture. [3]

As mass communication and transport continue to grow, societies are becoming more and more alike leading to a phenomenon known as globalization. Some people fear that globalization will inevitably lead to the total loss of cultural identity.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Globalization has always been a polemical issue for people who worship their traditional belief and things. Whilst, globalization can somehow influence one's culture, notwithstanding the impact that it will engender is insignificant since our government will always be intervening if the absolute globalization takes place and our traditions will often be inherited to young generations by the older ones. Therefore, I am totally convinced that globalization's influence will be insubstantial when it comes to influencing our culture.

The majority of people these days tend to globalize themselves since that way will help them to catch up the contemporary people. However, it has its own limits, our government will never permit something to take out completely our culture, after all, our culture is our history and it should always be remembered by the youngsters. We also yearn to prove that our culture more or less special just as other cultures, even though it does not always apply to everyone, because there are some individuals who have a penchant for desiring a complete globalization. Those folks simply do not understand how majesty and priceless is our culture's identity, and thus, they fail to see the truth, but they are not many. As a result, the likelihood of our culture being exterminated is quite low.

Aside from the intervention, our education has a tendency to impart traditional notion to our kids and the traditions will also be reminded frequently for the rest of our life. This way will permeate our people's mindset, that we always have to proud of our culture. Assume that you are part of our culture and you dwell in our country, obviously you would be inspired to advocate our culture and eventually your offspring will behave the same as you when they grow up, since you are the person, who they look up to. Hence, it is extremely arduous for globalization to completely eliminate our precious culture.

Consequently, the influences of globalization is quite weak to fully occupy any cultures because the traditions of a specific culture will be left to their kids, and also, the education will take care of our culture. Taking all the points to the account, I am fairly certain that our culture will keep existing until we cannot breath in this world any longer.

Writing Feedback / Influences that can be caused by computers! [4]

Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects on your children.

Do you agree or disagree?

Computer has always been an underlying utility for every steps of life since it can provide you numerous information of any aspects in a split second. Whilst, it has some obvious benefits, notwithstanding computer engenders so many issues for people, especially for children, such as reducing eye vision and hampering from working properly. Therefore, I am personally convinced that computer's detrimental effects outweigh its pros for children.

The majority of children these days carry glasses with them, since they have way too many opportunities to utilize electronic devices like phones and computers, television, and also, their eyes are still developing at the early stage of their life , and thus, there is an increasing number of child who cannot see without glasses. Once they grow up, ironically, their vision will not return, unless if they will spend a colossal amount of money for the eyes surgery which can be quite painful. Envision yourself, a kid, who possess lots of electronic devices such as computers, obviously the likelihood of him having blurry eyes in the future is quite high, albeit it does not always apply to every single human being, since it is all about genetics, but it is imperative to have a backup plan. As a result, computers should be prohibited for children.

Aside from the eye issue, computers are capable of preoccupying children's time because they usually have an abundance of astounding games as well as other utilities such as programs which can be really enticing. This can lead towards lack of performance in the school and that is not we are struggling for. Assume that there was a kid, who was bought a powerful computer, he will definitely try to utilize it at first, as time went by, his addiction to computer would keep increasing because computer was too immersive. Hence, computers can make a huge impact on child's studies in a horrible way.

Consequently, the influences which computers can create for our offspring are horrifying because they diminish our young generation's eye vision and they jeopardize our children's studies. Taking all the aforementioned points to the account, I totally consent that relying on computers can cause more disadvantages than advantages when it comes to children.

Writing Feedback / Books have always been read by many individuals since they can provide you with abundant knowledge [3]

It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books.

In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

Books have always been read by many individuals since they can provide you with abundant knowledge that might be lucrative for your life, notwithstanding, books will never be able to surrogate experiences since the sensation is completely different and reading books is identical to reading somebody else experiences. Therefore, I have a robust belief that experiencing is much more beneficial for any human being.

When we read a book, we usually attempt contemplate the story of the book. We cannot truly understand the pain or the happiness of the author since books cannot create the feeling for you, but when it comes to experiencing, it can permit you to both gain knowledge as well as understand the feeling more thoroughly. Envision yourself, reading a book about a war, obviously it is almost impossible to conceive of how much pain did people back then have to suffer from. As a result, reading books is no way near experiencing.

Aside from the feeling that you cannot receive through reading, books usually narrate the story of the author of the book. It can be completely futile for your life, because our life story if often unique and different from each other. Experiencing is another story since it will be handing you in with realistic scenarios, and apparently, it will benefit you in many ways that cannot be obtained by reading some books. Assume that you are currently reading is about a homeless child, while it might be fruitful for you to be more knowledgeable about the world, however that story will not be most likely to be happened to you. Thus, books can be utterly pointless for you as a reader at some extent.

Consequently, experiencing is far more superior than reading books because they do not render you unto real scenes of our life ,and sometimes, they can be useless for you check them out due to the story of the book. Indeed, nothing can more pivotal and replace experiences, especially when it comes to books.

Please point out my mistakes austerely !

Writing Feedback / Freedom of speech tends to have tremendous detrimental effects on a mammoth number of people [2]

Is freedom of speech necessary in a free society?

Give reasons for your answer.

Freedom of speech has always been reckoned to be congruous by many people. While this type of speech can be lucrative in some scenarios such as proposing a woman or permeate people's mindset, notwithstanding, this speech might torture other's feeling which is quite unnecessary and it would be arduous for to create a pleasant society with such honesty.

Many people these days tend to overlook people's feelings, because they do not want to be restricted or limited when it comes to expressing your feeling. This can pain numerous people especially for those who are weak at receiving critics from others. Some of the aforementioned individuals even attempted to commit suicide or worse. Envision yourself a society, which permits people to discuss whatsoever come up to their mind, obviously those who are emotional or sensible will have to suffer severely from opinions of various types of people. As a result, honesty and sincere from time to time can be quite noxious for our society.

Aside from hurting somebody's feeling, the freedom of speech can actually spoil our young generation in many ways such as utilizing inappropriate words all the time. Our young generation is our offspring who should be educated properly and hearing dozens of uneducated speech can really ruin their mentality, which is not what we are struggling for. Therefore, the freedom of speech can seriously horribly influence our child because one is not prepared for it yet.

Consequently, the freedom of speech should be prohibited at some extent since it tends to have tremendous detrimental effects on a mammoth number of people, including our lovely kids, and it should be all about satisfaction when it comes to dwelling in our society.

Please look for my weaknesses meticulously!

Writing Feedback / 'we have a penchant for copying their habits' - Parents are the best teachers! [3]

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Parents have always been the most people on this planet for us. They are the individuals who look after our behavior and espouse us in dilemma. Notwithstanding, they cannot be considered as our best teachers owing to the fact that we cannot be kids forever and teaching is not utterly their duty.

At the early stage of our life, we tend to imitate our parents' behavior because most of the time, they are the only people who squander their time with us, and thus, we have a penchant for copying their habits. Therefore, that is the point, when our parents can influence or teach us. After that infant period, we as human beings have a broader opportunity to enter to the true world. That world contains lots of horror and happiness since many folk live there. Our parents cannot side by side carry us all the time and from that point, life is going to teach us in lieu of our parents. As a result, it is erroneous to assert that our parents are the most powerful when it comes to teaching.

Aside from the truth of life, parents usually do not possess any outstanding qualification of teaching. They would never be able to surrogate teachers with their knowledge, and thus, their teaching method can be inefficient from time to time. Envision yourself the typical family, parents usually do not trust their capability of teaching since they are not specialized in teaching and so they send their offspring to school. It might feasible for parents to teach their kids by narrating some experiences of their past, notwithstanding there is an abundance of other things such as Math, English, chemistry, that can only be taught by teachers. Therefore, the argument that asserts no one can teach better than parents is flawed.

Hence, while parents do play a key role in child's life, especially when the child is ingenuous and young, but most of the child's life inclined to have their time outside the cage, and after all, parents cannot absolutely replace teachers due to the aforementioned reason. Indeed. I completely oppose the statement, which affirms that parents are the people who are the most adept at teaching.

Writing Feedback / The map illustrates 2 possible spots for building a new school. IELTs task 1 [4]

The map below is of the town of Canterbury. A new school (S) is planned for the area. The map shows two possible sites for the school.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The map illustrates 2 possible spots for building a new school. Overall, the S2 will benefit those who dwell in the town center, in sharp contrast to this, S1 is the ideal spot for rural population.

The first site situates on the north-east countryside which means far away from the hometown center. It is quite close to the main road that goes to Sturry. As a result, people live somewhere around Sturry should be benefited if the school decided to build a school at that spot. Aside from that benefit, S1 is much closer to the university than S2 do, and thus this can espouse you to keep in touch with your sibling as you guys grow up.

The second site is definitely made for urban people since it locates in the hometown center. It is more than seven kilometers from Chartman, while this value is approximately two kilometers shorter than its partner Sturry. The spot can be lucrative for any people since it exists almost in the middle of two roads but due to no traffic zone it would be arduous for many people to bring their kids to that spot, especially by their private vehicles. Its distance to the university is quite substantial, so the likelihood of you encountering your acquaintances will be quite low.

I am a novice when it comes to this type of writing, and thus any advice would be appreciated!
